ICRIER is celebrating its Silver Jubilee in 2006-07. On this occasion, an international conference on “India and the Global Economy” was organized on November 6-7, 2006 at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. The Hon’ble Prime Minister of India Dr. Manmohan Singh inaugurated the conference and the Veledictory Session was addressed by Mr. Mr. Pranab Mukherjee, Hon’ble Minister of External Affairs.

The conference brought together some of the leading experts, international and national, working on India’s economic development. The deliberations at the conference contributed to the discussion on the policies and institutions needed to exploit the growing opportunities offered by India’s integration with the world economy.
