India-Japan-China Dialogue on East Asia Summit Process: The Leadership Conundrum

6-7 April 2010, New Delhi
(Organized by ICRIER)

The International Conference "India-Japan-China Dialogue on East Asia Summit Process: The Leadership Conundrum " was organized by the Japan project at ICRIER on APRIL 6-7, 2010 in New Delhi. The conference, designed as a track 2 initiative, brought together experts from Japan, China and India to share their perspectives on the following issues:

  • How do the three major Asian economies - India, Japan and China perceive and respond to regional integration in East Asia?
  • Is a coordinated India-Japan-China approach to regional integration possible?
  • Can the trilateral dialogue framework soften bilateral rivalries and affect a rapprochement?
